Armageddon FC Title Fight Signed for July

At the last Armageddon Fighting Championship event, fans  saw Nick Hinchliffe and Kalib Starnes impressively win their respective matches against Dan McIver and Marcus Hicks.  Immediately after the event, people were calling for a fight between Starnes and Hinchliffe to determine the top AFC Middleweight.

Lets end the speculation right now as Top MMA News has learned that Armageddon Fighting Championship president Darren Owen has signed Kalib Starnes and Nick Hinchliffe to fight on the main event of AFC 3.   In addition to being the main event on the July 17th card, Starnes and Hinchliffe will also be vying for the AFC Middleweight title.

Owen has put together an excellent title fight between two top ten Top MMA News ranked Middleweights.  Hinchliffe recently made his debut on the rankings and will be looking to climb higher with wins over Chase Degenhardt at Aggression in May and Kalib Starnes in the AFC in July.  His fight at AFC 2 ended with a stunning knock out of the previously unbeaten Dan McIver.  He also used his heavy hands to knock out Dan Chambers at in the first Armageddon event.

Meanwhile, Starnes has faced criticism for not winning the big fights anymore.  His impressive AFC 2 submission victory over Marcus Hicks is sandwiched between losses to top Middleweights Hector Lombard and Falaniko Vitale.  A win over the ever-tough Hinchliffe will quiet his critics and put the UFC veteran’s career back on track.

    I hope nick wins kalib has very good jiu jitsu though. Either Nick by tko rd 2 or starnes by sub rd 1. Interesting fight though. Anyone know where i can watch it in Calgary? Fight Network usually has delay, is it gonna be on the web?
