Rumor – Hague Back in the UFC?
Top MMA News has heard strong rumors from a reliable source that Edmonton native Tim Hague will be returning to the UFC. Top MMA News is told that his return could even be next month at UFC 113 in Montreal. This is only a rumor. It has not been confirmed at this time, but the rumor is strong enough that Top MMA News decided to post it up.
For his part, Tim Hague is busy training in Las Vegas with the likes of Forrest Griffin, Ray Sefo, and his UFC 102 opponent Todd Duffee in what seems to resemble a pre-fight training camp. Top MMA News contacted Hague but he would not comment for this story.
Hague’s last fight before being cut by the UFC was against Chris Tuchscherer at UFC 109. Hague lost a decision but it was a decision that was questioned by most fans of the UFC as many saw Hague as the winner of the bout. Hague was supposed to fight at TFC 10 last month but that fight got cancelled when his opponent Ed Carpenter pulled out on the day of the fight.
The Montreal card already has eleven fights so it seems unusual that the UFC would add a new fight. Once guess is that he could replace a Heavyweight like Matt Mitrione or Kimbo Slice on the card. However, there has been no word on Kimbo Slice being removed from the card and Matt Mitrione continues to post details of his training on his Facebook account.
