Mein, McDonell Added to LGIO Tournaments

Top MMA News has been able to confirm two more names that have been added to the Lets Get It On MMA tournaments.

Jordan Mein will be entering the West side of the Welterweight tournament according to sources close to the fighter.  Mein is a 12-7 fighter who recently beat Andrew Buckland at Middleweight at Pure Fighting Championship in Red Deer. 

Mein, who was previously ranked on Top MMA News’ Lightweight rankings, dropped out of the picture after losing to Bellator Lightweight Mike Ricci a couple fights ago.  The Lethbridge native joins Ryan McGillivray in the West bracket of the Welterweight tournament.

Top MMA News has also been able to confirm with sources close to the situation that Top MMA News featured fighter (read feature article here), Rory McDonell has signed on to participate in the East portion of the Let’s Get It On Lightweight tournament set for May 22nd in Gatineau, Quebec.

Rory is coming off a submission win over Yves Lemelin at Ringside: Triple Threat. Rory has also been selected to represent Canada at the FILA grappling championships in Krakow, Poland on March 26th and 27th.

    This is going to be a very interesting tournament… I’m really looking forward to seeing the brackets filled out!

    Does anyone know how they are going to be matched up? Is it going to be random or some kind of ranking?
