Carpenter Replaces East in TFC Fight Against Hague
Top MMA News has learned from TFC promoter Mark Sinclair that Tyler East is out of the TFC March 20th main event fight with Tim Hague. East was forced to pull out of the event due to a chest infection.
TFC officials reacted quickly and signed Ed Carpenter to take on Hague, a former UFC fighter with a 1-2 record in the big show. While Carpenter, a 23-year old, is not as well known as Tyler East, he may be much more of a challenge for Hague. Carpenter, who fights out of Chicago, IL, is unbeaten as a professional fighter and has a solid wrestling background. Carpenter was a member of the Eastern Illinois University wrestling team until that program was disbanded. Look for the Heavyweight to work the take downs on the bigger Hague and try to pound out a victory.
The TFC card will be available on Pay Per View on March 20 and features other fights such as Ryan Ford vs Tommy Speer and Victor Valimaki vs Martin Desilets.
