Paulo Thiago to Face Martin Kampmann at UFC 115

Brazilian website, Tatame.com has recently confirmed the rumors that welterweight standout Paulo Thiago will indeed face Martin Kampann at UFC 115 which has been tentatively scheduled for the General Motors Place in Vancouver, Brisith Columbia on June 12th.  From TATAME.com;

After the rumors of a possible fight against Martin Kampmann at UFC 115, TATAME.com called the Brazilian welterweight (Thiago) today and he confirmed the bout.

Kampmann who had to pull out of a planned bout with Ben Saunders at UFC 111 is looking to keep his momentum going after coming off a submission victory over Jacob Volkmann at UFC 108.  Kampmann’s sole loss in the UFC’s welterweight division came from the heavy hands of British striker, Paul Daley.  

Thiago, who is a special forces police officer in his native Brazil, shocked fans and media alike with his knockout win over Josh Koscheck.  After suffering a loss to Koscheck’s teammate in Jon Fitch, Thiago has beaten Volkmann and garnered a submission of the night victory over Mike Swick at UFC 109.

    When I saw Paulo Thiago knocking down Josh Koscheck for the first time, I was really wondering when I can see Thiago and Kampann battling it off against each other. Both of them seem to be wonderful wrestlers and it will be a real treat for visitors at UFC 115 to watch this match.
