Cirkunov Inks Two Fight Deal with Armageddon
Top MMA News has recently confirmed that Misha Cirkunov has signed a two fight deal with Armageddon Fighting Championship. He is slated to make his first appearance for the British Columbia organization against Marcus Hicks in a light heavyweight match up on July 17 in British Columbia.
Misha made his mixed martial arts debut back at Ringside: Triple Threat in Montreal with a quick TKO victory over Jeff Doyle. Hicks (10-19-0) comes into this bout with a bag of experience to face the highly touted Misha Cirkunov (1-0-0). Top MMA News caught up with Misha and he weighed in on the fight:
“I would like to thank AFC for making the fight happen. I am very excited for this next challenge. Marcus Hicks is a very experienced veteran in the sport. Thanks to everyone for all the support.”
Hicks has faced some stiff competition in his career with the likes of Jason Day, Krzysztof Soszynski, and Bill Mahood. Hicks recently lost to Matt MacDonald at Aggression MMA 2. Top MMA News also spoke with Sam Zakula, Misha’s trainer at TapStar/Xtreme Couture Toronto about the experience factor a journeyman like Hicks poses.
“I’d like to thank Darren Owen of Armageddon Fighting Championship. We respect Marcus Hicks a great deal. Nothing can substitute ring experience, and Marcus is a true veteran of the sport. With that being said, Misha will be ready.”
