Top MMA News recently reported that former top ten world ranked featherweight, Antonio ‘Pato’ Carvalho (10-4-0) had signed a three fight deal with Warrior One (W-1) MMA.  Sources close to the situation have confirmed that Carvalho is set to face upstate New York native, Eddie Fyvie (8-3-0) at W-1: Bad Blood in Montreal on March 20th.

Fyvie is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, trained under Ricardo Almeida.  Fyvie last fought in Canada under the XMMA banner at their seventh show notching a submission win over Stephane Lamarche.  Fyvie is coming into this fight off a knockout (knee) loss to Jeff Lentz in June of 2009.

Carvalho has not seen action since June of 2008.  Carvalho spent the majority of his career fighting in Japan for the Shooto organization.  ‘Pato’ has faced some of the best international competition that the featherweight class has to offer and he is looking to regain his status as one of the best at 145lbs.

W-1: Bad Blood is shaping up to be a stellar card, for full details click here.  As always, keep it tuned to Top MMA News as we bring you the latest regarding W-1.
