Kimbo Slice vs. Matt Mitrione Confirmed for Montreal

Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson will be making his way north of the border for UFC 113 in Montreal on May 8 where he will face fellow TUF Season 10 cast mate, Matt Mitrione.  UFC President Dana White recently confirmed the news after the UFC 109 press conference.  Kimbo is coming off a unanimous decision win over Houston Alexander at the TUF 10 Finale show.  Mitrione demonstrated that he carries some punching power after knocking out fellow ex-NFLer Marcus Jones early in the 2nd round of their bout on that same card.

Kimbo Slice, the former YouTube street brawling sensation, is definitely a ratings draw wherever he goes and will without a doubt be on the PPV portion of the Montreal card.  However, after succumbing to Roy Nelson’s patented crucifix finish and wheezing his way to a three round ‘catch me if you can’ victory over Alexander, is Slice still a draw?  Smart money says market Slice while he is still a ratings monster – however, top notch Canadian talent may be relegated to the prelims.

UFC 113 is scheduled for the Bell Centre in Montreal for May 8th and is headlined by the rematch of Lyoto Machida and Mauricio Rua.  Keep it tuned to Top MMA News concerning the still developing card for Montreal.
