Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs Forrest Griffin on Montreal UFC

By:

Although the UFC’s third visit to Montreal is lacking hometown hero, Georges St-Pierre, the organization is undoubtedly giving Canadian fight fans some excitement.  Tatame.com has reported that Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is set to face former UFC light heavyweight champion, Forrest Griffin on May 8th at UFC 113.

Nogueira is coming off an impressive UFC debut by knocking out fellow Brazilian Luiz Cane back at UFC 106.  The former PRIDE veteran is on a six fight winning streak heading into this proposed match.  Griffin got back to his winning ways after a disappointing outing against Anderson Silva by claiming a unanimous decision win over Tito Ortiz at UFC 106.  The Montreal card is stacking up nicely as this fight will likely join the Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua light heavyweight title rematch as a headliner for UFC 113.
