AFC 2 Main Event – MacIver vs Hinchliffe

Armageddon Fighting Championship have confirmed to Top MMA News that a rematch between Middleweights Dan MacIver and Nick Hinchliffe will headline their AFC 2 card on March 6th.  MacIver and Hinchliffe previously met in a 2008 King of the Cage match that saw MacIver surprise the more experience Hinchliffe.

With a 6-0 record, Dan MacIver is an undefeated Middleweight who has definitely flown under the radar in Canada.  Besides his previous victory over Hinchliffe, most of his victories have come in the Valley Fights promotion.  MacIver has stopped all of his opponents and only once has seen the second round.  Dan last fought on AFC 1 where he stopped Duncan Wilson.  With another win over Nick Hinchliffe, it will get harder to ignore Dan’s accomplishments in the cage.

Hinchliffe is a tough fighter who last challenged Rory MacDonald in a Welterweight bout.  Nick, who was rumored to be headed for The Ultimate Fighter at one time, fell short in his fight against the future UFCer.  Hinchliffe also fought in the main event at AFC 1; winning his bout against Dan Chambers.  Now Nick is looking to avenge his 2008 loss to MacIver.

This battle joins previously announced fights that include a bout between UFC 4 veteran Jason Fairn and Phil Friedman.

How did Hicks get this fight anyhow??? Ridiculous by any stretch ,the one to step up is Hinchliffe but understandably has a score to settle looking forward to seeing this fight against MacIver!
