Hermes Franca Signs with MFC

Sources close to the Maximum Fighting Championship have informed Top MMA News that Hermes Franca has signed with the Edmonton-based organization.

Franca was on an eight fight win streak that ended when he fought Sean Sherk for the UFC Lightweight title. More recently, Franca has struggled losing three of his last four UFC fights. Losing to the aforementioned Sherk, Tyson Griffin, and Frankie Edgar and winning a decision against Marcus Aurelio.

Franca is a welcome addition to the MFC’s Lightweight division that currently has Antonio McKee sitting virtually unbeatable as champion.  Others in the Lightweight division include the 8-0 in the MFC Ryan Machan, who Franca should have to face to earn title shot, Kajan Johnson, Derrick Noble, and Josh Russell.

There is no word on the number of fights that Franca has signed for.

I like Franca, I do not think he is boring by any means all his boring fights are cause he gets beat out by strong wrestlers. He tried to make the Sherk fight but failed, he will beat most MFC lightweights but they need a few more guys to deepen this extremely weak division.
