Strikeforce Evolution Results – Scott Smith Upsets Cung Le


Scott Smith scored a stunning upset KO late in his fight with Cung Le at Strikeforce Evolution.  Le dominated the fight with a combination of punches and his stunning array of spinning back strikes until Smith caught him with a left cross after feinting a right.  Le was very impressive and so was Smith’s chin.

In other action, Gilbert Melendez took home the Lightweight title after winning the decision against Josh Thomson.  Mo Lawal kept his record perfect with a KO over Mike Whitehead.  Here are the full results:

    Smith is bad-ass. I cannot believe some of the hate he is getting on certain boards. He took a vicious beating , weathered the storm, and KO’d a tough opponent. Oh and PLEASE STFU in general with the term ‘lucky punch’ when it comes to fights. There is no such thing…
