Top MMA News MFC 23 Predictions
Tonight Maximum Fighting Championship is looking to blow the roof off the River Cree Resort and Casino with their 23rd installment of the Maximum Fighting Championship. Top MMA News will be ringside covering this great Canadian event and will have live results for you here at Top MMA News.
Dean Lister vs Thales Leites
This has the potential to be a very methodical and strategic fight with two very technical fighters who both favor the safest path. This leaves the door open for either to step up and be exciting and take the fight to his opponent. This fight should come down to the striking advantage with Leites having an edge. Both fighters are good enough on the ground that a simple sub won’t work, Whoever works the hardest and wants it more will get the win.
Drolet – Leites by Unanimous Decision
Grienke – Leites by Unanimous Decision
Solomon Hutcherson vs Jason MacDonald
MacDonald is a great athlete that has been been in the trenches for years earning the nickname ‘TUF Killer’ going 3-0 against Ed Herman, Chris Leben and Rory Singer. He then went on to lose to Nate Quarry and Travis Lutter from Ultimate Fighter Fame. Does the Athlete advance to 4-2 against TUF vets or does he drop to 3-3? Solomon has been training with Duke Roufus and should be in the best shape he’s ever been in. If he isn’t, this could be a rough fight for him the longer it goes. If he is in great conditioning and fight shape, then he could pose some problems for the Athlete. The Athlete can’t afford to lose this fight though, and is very hungry to get the big win at home.
Drolet – MacDonald by Submission in Round 3
Grienke – MacDonald by Submission in Round 2
Dwayne Lewis vs Marvin Eastman
This will be Dwayne Lewis’s biggest test. Is he ready for it? He definately has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Eastman has lost alot of fights, has alot of losses, but is always a threat, and has been able to hang with some very good quality fighters. This is a great matchup to see if Dwayne Lewis is ready for the next step.
Drolet – Lewis by Split Decision
Grienke – Eastman by Unanimous Decision
Ryan Jimmo vs Emanuel Newton
Jimmo is coming into this fight on an 11 fight win streak. Newton is the former MFC Light Heavyweight Champion.
This fight has the potential to be fight of the night, with both fighters looking to make a statement. Jimmo wants a title shot and is planning on keeping the belt, defending against all comers. This is a very tough fight for both guys, and the fans are going to be the true winners of this one.
Drolet – Newton
Grienke – Jimmo by Decision
Jesse Juarez vs Joe Christopher
Very good fight that Mark has put together here and although most fans might not be as familiar with these fighters going into the fight, they will all know who these guys are when it’s over. This fight is the front runner for Fight of the Night.
Drolet – Jesse Juarez Decision
Grienke – Jesse Juarez TKO Round 1
Nick Penner vs Ryan Fortin
This will be Nick Penner’s last bout at Heavyweight. He is walking around 215-220 pounds and is set to do some damage at 205 in the MFC Light Heavyweight division. First he must get past Ryan Fortin. Top MMA News predicts a first round Knock out for Penner.
Although Penner appears more approachable with hair now, he is still scarier looking being the killer he is, with his normal hair cut.
Drolet – Penner by TKO in Round 1
Grienke – Penner by KO in Round 1
Ryan Machan vs Kajan Johnson
Kajan Johnson will dismantle Machan and make his way to the MFC Main card in the future, as well as continuing his rise up the Canadian Lightweight ranks. Machan is a great Jiu Jitsu fighter, but lacks the overall game and experience needed to beat Kajan. He has nothing to lose, and is looking to steal the thunder from a hot Johnson.
Drolet – Johnson by 1st Round TKO
Grienke – Ragin’ Kajan by Round 2 TKO
