Eric Perez submits Dmitri Waardenburg at CFC 2

At CFC 1, Eric Perez and Dean Lewis brought the roof down with their spectacular brawl. The two combatants stood toe-to-toe for 15 minutes and the audience stood with them the whole time.

At CFC 2, the Perez “Dispenser” faced a very game Dmitri Waardenburg at CFC 2 and once again had the audience out of their seats for an action packed round. Perez and Waardenburg knocked each other down six times in four minutes before Perez took the fight to the ground and submitted his opponent with a Rear Naked Choke.

After two fight of the night performances, the Canadian Fighting Championship is pleased to announce the return of Eric Perez to our CFC 3 card. Perez, who is a Sandy Bay Ojibwa, has been signed to fight Ben Nguyen. Nguyen hails from Sioux Falls, South Dakota and comes with a 10-2 professional record. Nguyen will be Perez’s toughest test to date.

Can Eric Perez top his CFC 1 and CFC 2 victories? Fans can find out first hand attending CFC 3 at the Winnipeg Convention Centre on November 13. VIP tickets are available by calling (204) 772-2599. General admission tickets are available at Ticketmaster.

There are some other changes to the CFC card. Unfortunately, Kevin Manderson and Lindsey Hawkes have both been injured and are forced to withdraw from their previously announced Lightweight bout. The two warriors really wanted this fight, but injuries happen in this rough sport. The Canadian Fighting Championship wishes them both a speedy recovery and we hope to see them in the ring at future CFC events.
