Forrest Griffin faces Tito Ortiz at UFC 106
Forrest Griffin has agreed to step in and replace Mark Coleman in the the bout against Tito Ortiz at UFC 106 on November 21. Coleman was forced to bow out of the bout after sustaining an injury in training. The fight will be a rematch of their UFC 59 bout which saw the Huntington Beach Bad Boy defeated the Ultimate Fighter season one winner by split decision.
It will be Tito Ortiz’ return to the cage after a two year absence. Ortiz has been winless in his last three UFC fights: a loss to Machida, a draw with Rashad Evans, and a loss against Chuck Liddell. Griffin is looking for a return to the win column as well as he has dropped fights to Rashad Evans and Anderson Silva in his last two fights.
The fight will be held in Las Vegas on November 21. It will be the semi-main event behind the Heavyweight title bout of Shane Carwin and Brock Lesnar.
