Bellator VI Results – Soto vs Reis – Who Lost their O?

Soto vs Reis at Bellator VIBellator’s Featherweight Semi-Finals got center stage in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 9 with Joe Soto taking on Wilson Reis and Estevan Payan facing Yahir Reyes in the second semi.  In the night’s main event, Joe Soto took a Unanimous Decision over a tentative Wilson Reis.  Soto increased his undefeated record to 6-0 while Reis suffered the first loss of his career.

Last week, it was Toby Imada’s incredible Inverse Triangle in Bellator that was the talk of the MMA world.  This week it just might be Bellator’s Yahir Reyes’ stunning Spinning Backfist KO over Estevan Payan.  This Shonie Carteresque ending sends Reyes to the Featherweight Finals to face Soto.

Like the UFC, Bellator is no stranger to poor stoppages.   Nick Gonzalez was dropped with a straight right and appeared to be working off his back when the ref stepped in to stop the bout.  In unexpected Bellator news, the anticipated Diego Garijo and Hector Munoz fight was called off due to unspecified illness.  Lets hope Munoz recovers as he was sent to the hospital for observation.
