Parisyan Tests Positive for Painkillers

According to a Nevada State Athletic Commission report on UFC 94 drug testing, Karo Parisyan has tested positive for three types of painkillers.  Parisyan, who has had recent back problems and bouts of anxiety attacks, tested positive for Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone and Oxymorphone.  Parisyan has since responded that he had a prescription for the pills but neglected to indicate he had a prescription on his pre-fight forms.

Parisyan won a split decision fight against Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 94 in Las Vegas.  Karo was also lined up to fight Josh Koscheck at UFC 98 for his next bout.  NSAC official Keith Kizer states that Karo Parisyan will now face a disciplinary hearing next Tuesday, February 17.

No other fighter on the UFC 94 card tested positive.
