Matt Lindland Loses Election
We at Cageplay.com do not like to enter the realm of politics. We leave that to media outlets like CNN or CBC Newsworld. However, when active MMA fighter Matt “The Law” Lindland is running for office, Cageplay.com is forced to take notice.
Unfortunately, Lindland, a career 21-5 MMA fighter, was unsuccessful in his bid for state office. Lindland was running as a Republican in the 52nd District of Oregon to become a State Representative. His opponent, Democrat Suzanne VanOrman, will now replace Representative Patti Smith, the Republican incumbent who is retiring at the end of her term. Lindland lost to VanOrman by a margin of 41% of the votes for Lindland to VanOrman’s 58.
Cageplay.com salutes Lindland’s election efforts and anxiously awaits his transition from the political ring back to the Affliction ring.
