TKO 35: Hioki Retains. Thomas, Bosse Victorious
TKO held its 35th show at the Bell Centre in Montreal Friday, October 3. In the main event, Hatsu Hioki (16-3-2) outclassed challenger Thierry Quenneville (12-8) – ending the fight with a triangle submission in the first round.
In the other title match, unbeaten Bantamweight champion Adrian Wooley was dethroned by a first round guillotine choke from Noah Thomas. This is the same Noah Thomas that was last seen on the Ultimate Fighter 5 show where he was booted off after fighting with Marlon Sims outside the cage. Thomas had to fight through adversity as his father passed away as Thomas was en route to Montreal. Thomas was very emotional after the fight and he dedicated the win to his late father.
Also on the card was fan favorite and former American Hockey League enforcer, Steve Bosse. Bosse was scheduled to fight The Ultimate Fighter 8 competitor and brother of Rashad Evans, Lance Evans. Evans pulled out for undisclosed reasons and new opponent , Sebastien Gauthier, was found on 24 hours notice. Bosse was able to ground and pound a victory in the first round over Gauthier.
